Position Summary: The Rehabilitation Aide (equivalent to rehabilitation technician and physical therapy aide positions) assists the Patient Experience Coordinator and clinicians by performing administrative and clinical duties. Responsibilities include greeting patients, working alongside physical therapists and assistants during treatments, all in compliance with state practice act requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This list is not exhaustive; duties may vary based on organizational needs.

  • Preparing patients for treatments, assisting with supportive devices, and providing routine treatments like hot/cold packs, Ultrasound, Electrical stimulation, etc.
  • Safeguarding, motivating, and assisting patients with exercises and activities under supervision.
  • Cleaning treatment areas and equipment post-treatment.
  • Laundering linens and maintaining linen supplies.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of restrooms and other areas, restocking supplies as needed.
  • Supporting the Patient Experience Coordinator with phone calls, scheduling, and filing.
  • Managing clinic inventory and supplies, including ordering as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; internship preferred.
  • Work Experience: Prior Clinical Aide or Rehab Tech experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong communication, documentation, attention to detail, and time management skills; team-oriented; compassionate; basic office equipment knowledge is a plus.

Language Skills:

  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to see at various distances, hear, and communicate effectively.
  • Capable of office activities including sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 20-25 pounds, and fine motor tasks like keyboarding.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily indoor office setting.
  • Typically low noise level.
