Position Summary:

The Rehabilitation Aide (equivalent to rehabilitation technician and physical therapy aide positions) assists the Patient Experience Coordinator and clinicians with administrative and clinical duties. Responsibilities include greeting patients, supporting physical therapists and assistants during treatments, all in compliance with state practice act requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This list is not exhaustive; duties may vary based on organizational needs and role evolution.

  • Prepare patients for therapy, assist with supportive devices, and support treatment administration.
  • Motivate and assist patients with exercises and functional activities under professional supervision.
  • Administer routine treatments such as hot/cold packs, Ultrasounds, Electrical stimulation, etc.
  • Clean work areas and equipment post-treatment.
  • Wash linens, maintain linen supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness of restrooms and other areas, restock supplies as needed.
  • Assist the patient experience coordinator with calls, scheduling, and paperwork.
  • Manage clinic supplies, assist with inventory and ordering.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; internship preferred.
  • Work Experience: Prior clinical aide or rehab tech experience preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).
    • Ability to document accurately and manage tasks efficiently.
    • Attention to detail, effective time management.
    • Focus on patient satisfaction, energetic team player, compassionate.
    • Basic office equipment knowledge preferred.
Language Skills:
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Physical Demands:
  • Visual acuity, ability to talk and hear regularly.
  • Office activities including sitting, standing, walking, lifting (up to 25 pounds), and manual dexterity.
Work Environment:
  • Indoor office setting with generally low noise levels.

Salary Range:

Minimum: USD $10.00/hr
