Position Summary: The Rehabilitation Aide (equivalent to rehabilitation technician and physical therapy aide positions) assists the Patient Experience Coordinator and clinicians with administrative and clinical duties. Responsibilities include greeting patients, supporting physical therapists and assistants during treatments, all in compliance with state practice act requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This list is not exhaustive; duties may vary based on organizational needs.

  • Prepare patients for therapy, assist with supportive devices, and support treatment administration
  • Motivate and assist patients with exercises and activities under supervision
  • Administer routine treatments such as hot/cold packs, Ultrasounds, Electrical stimulation, etc.
  • Clean work areas and equipment post-treatment
  • Maintain linens and supplies
  • Ensure cleanliness of restrooms and other areas, restocking supplies as needed
  • Assist with answering phones, scheduling, and filing
  • Manage inventory and supplies, including ordering as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; internship preferred
  • Work Experience: Prior clinical aide or rehab tech experience preferred
  • Skills: Strong communication, documentation, attention to detail, time management, team-oriented, compassionate, basic office equipment knowledge

Language Skills:

  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English

Physical Demands:

  • Visual and physical abilities as described, including lifting up to 25 pounds and fine motor skills

Work Environment:

  • Indoor office setting, low noise levels
