Position Summary

The Rehabilitation Aide (equivalent to rehabilitation technician and physical therapy aide positions) will assist the Patient Experience Coordinator and clinicians by performing administrative and clinical duties. They will greet patients upon arrival and work alongside physical therapists and assistants during treatment, in compliance with state practice act requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following is not an exhaustive list; duties may vary based on organizational needs and role evolution.

  • Prepare patients for physical therapy treatments, assist with supportive devices, and support physical therapists during treatments.
  • Safeguard, motivate, and assist patients with exercises and functional activities under professional supervision.
  • Administer routine treatments such as hot/cold packs, Ultrasounds, Electrical stimulation, etc.
  • Clean work area and equipment after treatments.
  • Wash linens/towels, organize linen cabinets.
  • Maintain restrooms and other areas, restocking supplies as needed.
  • Assist the Patient Experience Coordinator with answering phones, scheduling, and paperwork.
  • Manage inventory of medical and non-medical supplies, and assist with ordering as needed.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; internship preferred.
  • Work Experience: Previous clinical aide or rehab technician experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong communication, documentation, attention to detail, and time management skills. Ability to demonstrate compassion and provide excellent patient care. Basic office equipment knowledge preferred.
Language Skills
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Physical Demands
  • Visual requirements include near, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Capable of office activities such as sitting, lifting up to 20-25 pounds, and using hands for manipulation.
Work Environment
  • Primarily an internal office setting.
  • Typically low noise level.

Salaries are based on full-time (40 hours) employment. Additional compensation such as incentives, overtime, and stipends vary by location and role. Base pay depends on experience, responsibilities, and other factors. Offers are made within the applicable pay range at the time.

Salary Range

Minimum: USD $15.00/hr

Maximum: USD $20.00/hr
