Job description

Position Summary :

The Rehabilitation Aide (equivalent to rehabilitation technician and physical therapy aide positions) will assist the Patient Experience Coordinator and clinicians by performing requested administrative and clinical duties. They will greet patients as they arrive at the clinic and work alongside the physical therapists and physical therapist assistants during patient treatment. These duties will be conducted in compliance with state practice act requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

The following is not an exhaustive list of duties; you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organization and the overall business objectives.

1. Prepares patients for physical therapy treatments, assists with supportive devices, and provides routine treatments.
2. Safeguards, motivates, and assists patients practicing exercises and functional activities under supervision.
3. Provides routine treatments, such as hot/cold packs and modalities like Ultrasounds and Electrical stimulation.
4. Cleans work area and equipment after treatment.
5. Washes linens/towels, folds, and maintains linen cabinets.
6. Maintains restrooms and other areas, restocking supplies as needed.
7. Assists the patient experience coordinator with answering phones, scheduling, and filing paperwork and charts.
8. Helps keep track of medical and non-medical supplies, and may assist in inventory management.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent; internship preferred.
• Previous clinical aide or rehab tech experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills, ability to document clearly, attention to detail, and good time management.
• Ability to provide compassionate care, work energetically as part of a team, and demonstrate basic office equipment knowledge.

Language Skills :

• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Physical Demands :

• Ability to see at close and distance ranges, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjust focus.
• Regularly talk and hear.
• Remain seated for computer work, lift and carry supplies up to 20-25 pounds, stand, walk, and reach frequently.
• Perform fine hand manipulations such as keyboarding.

Work Environment :

• Internal office setting.
• Typically low noise level.
