Position Summary: The Rehabilitation Aide (equivalent to rehabilitation technician and physical therapy aide positions) assists the Patient Experience Coordinator and clinicians with administrative and clinical duties. Responsibilities include greeting patients, supporting physical therapists and assistants during treatments, and ensuring compliance with state practice act requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following list is not exhaustive; duties may vary based on organizational needs and objectives.

  • Prepare patients for therapy treatments, assist with supportive devices, and support physical therapists during treatments
  • Motivate and assist patients with exercises and functional activities under professional supervision
  • Administer routine treatments such as hot/cold packs, ultrasounds, electrical stimulation, etc.
  • Clean work areas and equipment post-treatment
  • Wash linens, fold, and maintain linen supplies
  • Maintain cleanliness of restrooms and other areas, restocking supplies as needed
  • Assist with answering phones, scheduling, filing, and administrative tasks
  • Manage inventory of medical and non-medical supplies, including ordering as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; internship preferred
  • Work Experience: Prior clinical aide or rehab technician experience preferred
  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Ability to document work clearly and manage tasks efficiently
    • Attention to detail and good time management
    • Focus on patient/client satisfaction
    • Energetic team player with compassion towards patients
    • Ability to complete tasks thoroughly
    • Basic knowledge of office equipment preferred

Language Skills:

  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English

Physical Demands:

  • Visual requirements include near, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment
  • Regularly required to talk and hear
  • Ability to perform typical office activities, including sitting, standing, lifting up to 25 pounds, and keyboarding

Work Environment:

  • Indoor office setting
  • Typically low noise level
