Position Summary: The Rehabilitation Aide (equivalent to rehabilitation technician and physical therapy aide positions) assists the Patient Experience Coordinator and clinicians with administrative and clinical duties. Responsibilities include greeting patients, supporting physical therapists and assistants during treatments, all in compliance with state practice act requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following is not an exhaustive list. You may be asked to perform additional tasks as needed to support organizational and business objectives.

  • Prepare patients for physical therapy treatments, including applying/removing supportive devices, and assist during treatments.
  • Support patients practicing exercises and functional activities under professional supervision.
  • Administer routine treatments such as hot/cold packs, Ultrasound, Electrical Stimulation, etc.
  • Clean work areas and equipment after treatments.
  • Wash linens/towels, and maintain linen supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness of restrooms and other areas, restock supplies as needed.
  • Assist the Patient Experience Coordinator with answering phones, scheduling, and filing paperwork.
  • Help track and order supplies for the clinic.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; intern experience preferred.
  • Work Experience: Previous Clinical Aide or Rehab Tech experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
    • Ability to document and manage projects clearly.
    • Attention to detail and good time management.
    • Focus on patient satisfaction and exceeding expectations.
    • Energetic team player with compassion for patients.
    • Ability to complete tasks thoroughly.
    • Basic knowledge of office equipment preferred.

Language Skills:

  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Physical Demands:

  • Visual requirements include near, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Ability to perform typical office activities, including sitting, standing, walking, lifting (up to 25 pounds), and keyboarding.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily an internal office setting.
  • Usually low noise level.

Salaries are based on full-time (40 hours) and may include incentives, overtime, and stipends, subject to program rules and location. Base pay depends on experience, role complexity, and other factors. Offers are made within the current pay range.

Minimum Salary/Wage: USD $15.00/hr. Maximum Salary/Wage: USD $20.00/hr.
