Job summary

ACCESS PT in Rhinebeck, NY is seeking a part-time Physical Therapy Aide to join our team. The role supports physical therapy services under supervision, assisting with room setup, patient transport, and basic therapeutic tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and sanitize treatment room for patients.
• Understand the uses of stationary bikes, pulley systems, exercise/medicine balls, plyometric boxes, rebounder, weight equipment, mobilization tables and benches, progressive resistive exercises as designed by the Physical Therapist.
• Prepare equipment such as hydrotherapy tanks, paraffin bath, and hot packs.
• Remove and replace braces, splints, and slings from patient bodies before and after treatment.
• Assist physical therapy assistant and/or physical therapist to support patient during ambulation and gait training.
• Communicate effectively with patients/clients, the public and all members of the healthcare team.

Salary Description:

$16.00-$17.00/hour, based on experience
