Job summary

ATI Physical Therapy is seeking a Physical Therapy Aide in Thorndale, PA. This full-time role supports therapists, assists with patient intake, and helps prepare treatment areas and equipment for sessions.

You’ll assist patients with exercises and home programs while gaining valuable hands-on therapy exposure in a collaborative team. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, are 18+, and possess healthcare or customer service experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Healthcare or customer service experience preferred.
• Able to interact with patients in person and by phone.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with patients in person and by phone during check-in.
• Assist with efficient patient intake, registration, and scheduling.
• Prepare and clean treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions.
• Support Physical Therapists by monitoring progress and setting up exercises.
• Assist patients with exercises and home exercise programs as prescribed.

Clinic Hours: 7:00am - 7:00pm M-F

In this position, you'll receive hands‑on training, mentorship, and direct exposure to the field of physical therapy.

Responsibilities

At ATI Physical Therapy, we offer a collaborative and welcoming environment where you will:

• Greet and interact with patients warmly both by phone and in person during the daily check‑in process and throughout their appointment time.
• Promote an efficient patient intake and registration process and assist clinicians with timely scheduling.
• Effectively onboard new patients reviewing relevant paperwork, verifying benefits, and completion of medical forms.
• Support Physical Therapist by preparing and cleaning treatment areas, as well as setting up and adjusting exercise equipment.
• Monitor patient progress and provide feedback the therapy team.
• Assist patients in performing exercises and support their prescribed home exercise programs.

Qualifications

Required

• High School diploma
• Must be 18+ years
• Healthcare and/or customer service experience

Preferred

• Healthcare experience (Physical Therapist Aide/Technician, Medical Assistant, hospital employment, chiropractic, fitness industry, PT & PTA students)
• Certified Personal Trainer experience.
• Experience or education in Health Services, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology.
