Job summary

Peak Physical Therapy is hiring an Exercise Specialist/Physical Therapy Aide to support licensed clinicians in outpatient care. This non-licensed role assists with patient interventions, maintains clean treatment spaces, and helps with scheduling and communication under the therapist's direction.

Minimum high school diploma required; a Bachelor's in Kinesiology or related field is strongly preferred. The position may involve standing, moving equipment up to 50 lbs, and occasional bending as

• Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or related field strongly preferred.
• Standing or walking for extended periods.
• Assisting with patient exercise instruction and demonstration.
• Monitoring patient movement for safety, including fall prevention.
• Light lifting or movement of equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Occasional bending, reaching, or crouching to support patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinical staff with patient intervention following plan of care as directed by the PT/PTA.
• Support with exercise instruction and demonstrations for patients.
• Maintain treatment rooms and gym areas in clean, safe condition.
• Assist administrative staff with scheduling, intake, and communications as directed.
• Ensure supplies are available and facilities remain safe and sanitary.

The Exercise Specialist/Physical Therapy Aide is a non-licensed caregiver who works under the direction of a Physical Therapist and/or Assistant to aid in the provision of patient care.

What You'll Do:

• Ensure the condition and cleanliness of treatment rooms and gym area meetsstandards
• Assist clinical staff with patient intervention following plan of care as directed by the PT or PTA. Level of assistance will depend on payer andstate guidelines. Treatment mayinclude:exercise instruction, manual therapy techniques, aquatic therapy, modalities, and education on posture, ergonomics, ADL’s and body mechanics
• Assist administrative staff as directed by clinic director; tasks to include scheduling/rescheduling patients, answering phones, assisting patients with intake, running weekly reports from clinicalsoftwareand calling patients to maintain communication at the therapist’s direction.
• Maintain clean environment for the safety of patients and efficiency of clinicians; housekeeping tasks include but not limited to consistently cleaning tables and private treatment areas, maintaining supply of towels and pillowcases in appropriate area, clean exercise equipment, washing/folding laundry where applicable, communicating with clinic director when supplies arelow Qualifications/Physical Expectations:

• Starting at $18/hour, with compensation adjusted based on experience, skills, and role alignment
