This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, CMTNCC, 2200 Harden Street, Columbia, SC 29203.
As the Physical Therapy Aide, you will assist in providing specialized Physical Therapy services to a culturally diverse population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics and psychiatric patients, following individualized care plans under the supervision of a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapy Assistant. Responsibilities include equipment repair/configuration (PT specific), executing treatment plans in the Maintenance Rehab program, guiding and assisting CNAs in related duties, and performing reimbursement and performance improvement duties related to the PT Department. You may also assist with contingency staffing plans as needed.
State Requirement: A high school diploma or GED.
Agency Requirement: A high school diploma or equivalent, at least one (1) year of clinical experience, and a SC Nurse Aide Certification.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift more than 50 lbs. repeatedly, flexibility for campus coverage in Columbia, passing a written Rehab Aide test after on-the-job training, and competence in providing Rehab Maintenance under supervision.
