Job summary

ATI Physical Therapy is seeking a Physical Therapy Aide to support clinicians and patients in a collaborative, patient‑centered setting. You will assist with intake, scheduling, and onboarding, ensuring smooth clinic operations and accurate documentation. Training and mentorship are provided to help you grow in the physical therapy field.

The role offers on‑site work in Bloomington, with hands‑on exposure to patient care, exercise setup, and progress monitoring as part of a leading PT team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required
• Must be 18+ years old
• Healthcare and/or customer service experience preferred
• Preferred: Healthcare experience (PTA, PT/tech, medical assistant)
• Preferred: Certified Personal Trainer experience
• Preferred: background in Health Services, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with patients by phone and in person during check-in and appointments.
• Promote an efficient patient intake and registration process and assist clinicians with scheduling.
• Onboard new patients, review paperwork, verify benefits, and complete forms.
• Prepare and clean treatment areas, set up and adjust exercise equipment.
• Monitor patient progress and provide feedback to the therapy team.
• Assist patients with exercises and home exercise programs.

Responsibilities

• Support Physical Therapist by preparing and cleaning treatment areas, as well as setting up and adjusting exercise equipment.


• Monitor patient progress and provide feedback the therapy team.


• Assist patients in performing exercises and support their prescribed home exercise programs.

Qualifications

Required

• High School diploma

• Healthcare and/or customer service experience

Preferred

• Healthcare experience (Physical Therapist Aide/Technician, Medical Assistant, hospital employment, chiropractic, fitness industry, PT & PTA students)


• Certified Personal Trainer experience.


• Experience or education in Health Services, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology.
