Job summary

Windsor Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Windsor, NC is hiring a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to work under the supervision of a registered PT. The role focuses on providing comprehensive treatment, documenting progress, and coordinating with the rehab team to meet each resident's goals.

Candidates must have an accredited degree in physical therapy, hold a current state PTA license, and demonstrate a compassionate approach.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited university with a BA or Associate degree in Physical Therapy (APTA recognized).
• Holds current license and/or registration in the state.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of a PT according to state practice guidelines.
• Assist PT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab accordingly.
• Document patient’s daily participation and progress on progress note in an accurate and timely fashion, and obtain the cosignature of the PT.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, recertifications and discharges.
• Attend facility and rehab meetings when indicated by Supervisor.
• Act as a rehab delegate to the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in scheduling of patients as indicated.
• Complete billing and bill patients ethically and accurately for physical therapy services rendered.
• Cover other therapists’ patient caseload during absence as necessary.
• Supervise junior PTA staff members or students as needed.

• 16.Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and project a professional image at all times.
• 17.Adhere to productivity requirements.
• 18.Maintain a positive work atmosphere by demonstrating and communicating in a professional manner so as to foster positive relations with customers, clients, co-workers and managers.
• 19.Perform all other duties assigned by the department Supervisor, Lead Therapist or Regional Manager.
• 20.Comply with all Facility policies re: lunch, sick and time off notification.
