Job summary

Huron Regional Medical Center in Huron, SD is seeking a Physical Therapist to join the ProRehab team. The role develops and administers medically prescribed therapy programs to restore function and improve patient quality of life both in hospital and outreach services.

New graduates and experienced PTs are welcome. Full-time, 40 hours per week, days shift with rotating weekend call. Competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and incentive bonuses or student loan repayment options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's/Doctorate in Physical Therapy with completion of an accredited program.
• Current SD licensure as a physical therapist.
• Physical stamina to lift/move equipment and patients.
• Adequate vision/hearing/speech for patient and team communication.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy programs in hospital and outreach services to restore function.
• Help patients reach maximum performance and reintegrate into daily life.

Job Summary

Organizes and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy programs in the hospital and its outreach services to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part; helps the patient reach his/her maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of his/her capabilities

Requirements

• Baccalaureate, Master's or Doctorate Degree with satisfactory completion of the physical therapist training program in an accredited school of physical therapy.


• Current South Dakota licensure as a physical therapist.


• Physical stamina requisite to lift, carry and/or otherwise move and manipulate the equipment used in evaluation and treatment.


• Physical stamina requisite to standing, walking, stooping, pulling, pushing and lifting while transporting or transferring patients and performing treatments.


• Visual, auditory and speech acuity requisite to verbal and written communication with patients, families, physicians and other persons involved with the patient's care.
