Wound care training and mentorship are provided. New grads are welcome, and we value a collaborative approach to care within our post-acute facility setting.

Westpark Rehabilitation in Euless, TX, is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery.

We are currently seeking a Full Time Physical Therapist with an interest in wound care for our in-house rehab program!

This is an exciting opportunity for a PT looking to expand their clinical skillset and make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will have an interest in wound care management and prevention, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to provide exceptional care. Wound care training and clinical development will be provided, making this a great opportunity for both experienced clinicians and those seeking to develop specialized expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Perform wound assessments and assist in developing individualized treatment plans to promote healing, prevent complications, and improve patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members to support best practices in wound prevention and management.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders and wound care needs.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications

• Physical Therapist license is required.
• Interest in wound care management and treatment is strongly preferred.
• Wound care experience is a plus but not required.
• Comprehensive wound care training and mentorship will be provided.
• Open to Physical Therapists at all experience levels. New Grads are welcome!
