Job description

Physical Therapist (Weekend-On Call) PRN INPATIENT

Join to apply for the Physical Therapist (Weekend-On Call) PRN INPATIENT role at Kennedy Krieger Institute.

This Physical Therapist I will generally provide weekend-only services, performing evaluations and planning, executing, and supervising therapy programs for persons with neuromotor dysfunction. The therapist will participate in intra-disciplinary and interdisciplinary training programs for students, staff, and community agencies; maintain patient records; and supervise physical therapist assistants and aides.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Evaluating assigned patients; planning, executing, supervising, and documenting therapy programs.
  2. Maintaining documentation, including patient reports, following departmental, institute, and Maryland PT guidelines.
  3. Assisting in the care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
  4. Providing daily guidance to Physical Therapy Assistants and Aides.
  5. Participating in planning and professional development activities.
  6. Demonstrating competence across all age groups served by KKI, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, and some adults with disabilities.
Education Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Experience:
  • Pediatrics and/or rehabilitation experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to address the needs of specific adults with disabilities as determined case-by-case.
Related Training:
  • Must be eligible for a license to practice physical therapy in Maryland.

Salary range: USD $61,845.00 - $109,392.00 annually.
