Jackson Therapy Partners seeks a traveling Physical Therapist for Kapaa, HI, with responsibilities across inpatient and outpatient care. The role includes evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, and managing a mixed caseload in ER, ICU, Med/Surg and outpatient clinics.
The assignment runs Mon-Fri 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a lunch hour; Saturdays are required. Hawaii licensure and a willingness to work in rural island healthcare are essential.

Join a hospital in Kapaa, HI as a traveling Physical Therapist where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing life in a new location. You will provide evaluations and treatments across inpatient and outpatient settings, including acute, ICU, SNF, and hospital-based outpatient clinic. A full PT schedule will include mixed in- and outpatients every 30-45 minutes, with one-hour new evaluations, and may range from approximately 5 to 15 patients per day. You must obtain a Hawaii PT license as soon as possible.
M-F 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with a lunch 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.; flexibility of work hours may occur. Saturdays required. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK SATURDAYS. NO EXCEPTIONS. Primary duties: PT evaluations and treatments across inpatient (approximately 25%) and outpatient (approximately 75%) settings. Caseload mix includes ER, ICU, Med/Surg, occasional OB, and hospital-based outpatient clinic.
Provide thorough, independent care for a broad outpatient case mix and manage mobility progression for acute through SNF patients. Your role will support continuity of care in a rural hospital setting and contribute to discharge planning and functional outcomes across levels of care.
Kapaa sits on the eastern coast of Kauai and offers proximity to multiple outdoor destinations. Wailua River and Fern Grotto are within a short drive, and Sleeping Giant (Nounou Mountain) trailheads are typically a 10-20 minute drive from central Kapaa. Visitors can access Lydgate Beach Park and Kealia Beach for coastal recreation, both within a 5-15 minute drive, and boat or kayak access to nearby waterfalls is available from Wailua River. The area supports an active outdoor lifestyle with hiking, surfing, and botanical attractions and has local shops and dining along the Kapaa coastal corridor for an accessible suburban-coastal experience.
