Job summary

AdventHealth in Rome, GA is seeking a Physical Therapist on a 13-week StaffFlex contract. The full-time day shift runs Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with $75.00/hr plus differentials.

The role emphasizes evaluations, treatment planning, documentation, patient education, and contributing to quality initiatives. The candidate should have entry-level professional competence in physical therapy, preferably a Doctorate, and a valid PT license with BLS.

Qualifications

• Entry level professional competency of Physical Therapy practices, theory, principles and applications as defined in competencies departmental policy.
• Basic computer skills to include Outlook, Microsoft Office and Windows.

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluations and re-evaluations to assess patient conditions and progress.
• Establishes individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and patient goals.
• Discharges patients by completing necessary documentation and providing follow-up recommendations.
• Documents patient care activities accurately and timely in the medical record.
• Charges for services rendered according to established billing procedures.
• Educates patients and caregivers about treatment plans, exercises, and home care instructions.
• Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities.
• Supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department.
• Maintains clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Meets productivity standards defined by the department.
• Adapts to changes in patient census by adjusting work hours and assisting in other centers or programs as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
