Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY, seeks a Staff Physical Therapist to join our acute care team. You will rotate through Medical/Surgical, Orthopedics, Cardiopulmonary, Neurology, Inpatient Spine, Inpatient Rehab and Outpatient services, delivering high-quality therapy to restore patient mobility.

The role starts with 8:30 am–4:30 pm and may rotate to evenings or weekend schedules. A Bachelor's in Physical Therapy, NYS licensure, CPR and BCLS are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Current NYS PT licensure required.
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association required.
• BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through acute care units and rehabilitation services.
• Provide high-quality physical therapy to restore mobility.
• Participate in fast track, inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient therapy programs.
• Work schedule starts 8:30 am–4:30 pm with future rotations.

In this position, you will rotate through our many acute care units, fast track program, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient therapy. This position starts off with hours of 8:30 am - 4:30 pm with a future rotation covering a Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday shift from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm or a Monday to Friday shift from 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

Preferred Criteria

• Adult Acute care experience
• Experience with patient's s/p orthopedic surgery
• Cardio-pulmonary experience
• Master’s degree in Physical Therapy

Required Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy
• Current NYS PT licensure
• Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
