Physical therapists (PTs) diagnose and treat individuals of all ages with medical or health-related conditions that limit movement and function. PTs develop treatment plans to promote movement, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. They also work on preventive programs for healthier lifestyles in various settings including hospitals, clinics, schools, and nursing homes. State licensure is required.
