Job summary

Encompass Health in Cookeville is hosting a senior physical therapist role with an emphasis on inpatient care and comprehensive rehabilitation. The position involves direct patient care, supervising treatments, and developing individualized care plans while fostering strong patient relationships and progress tracking.

The ideal candidate will hold a current PT license, CPR certification, and a bachelor’s degree or higher in physical therapy; a master’s or doctoral degree and specialty

Qualifications

• Current State license as a Physical Therapist.
• CPR certification.
• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited physical therapy program, required.
• Master's or Doctorate in physical therapy or management area preferred.
• A minimum of two years of physical therapy experience is required.
• Active on Therapy Clinical ladder (when eligible) or specialty professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct inpatient care to patients requiring physical therapy.
• Supervise care and treatments, lead patient assessments, and create personalized care plans.
• Address patient concerns and build meaningful relationships to support recovery.
• Celebrate patient victories and track progress along the rehabilitation journey.

Education

Bachelor's degree or higher in physical therapy
