Job summary

AZ Therapy Services for Kids LLC is seeking a passionate School-Based Physical Therapist to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. You will evaluate students, develop therapy plans aligned with IEP goals, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists in a school setting.

Ideal candidates hold an Arizona Physical Therapy License, CPR/First Aid, and experience with pediatric populations and IDEA/IEP processes.

Qualifications

• Licensed physical therapist with pediatric experience preferred.
• Familiarity with IEP/IDEA processes and school-based environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration with teachers, parents, and specialists.
• CPR/First Aid certification current.
• Compassionate, patient approach to children of all abilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess students' physical abilities, mobility, and gross motor skills.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student success.
• Provide direct and consultative PT services in school and classroom environments.
• Document progress and maintain accurate records; complete required reports timely.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and assistive technology as needed.
• Participate in IEP meetings and school planning sessions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess students' physical abilities, functional mobility, and gross motor skills
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals and educational outcomes
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student success
• Provide direct and consultative PT services in school and classroom environments
• Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and complete required reports in a timely manner
• Recommend and implement adaptive equipment and assistive technology as needed
• Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and school-based planning sessions

Requirements

• Valid Arizona Physical Therapist license (or ability to obtain)
• Graduate degree (Master's or Doctorate) in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school-based setting
• Familiarity with IEP processes, IDEA regulations, and special education environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
• Current CPR/First Aid certification
• Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with children of all abilities

Prior experience as a School Based Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist or Pediatric Physical Therapist is preferred.
