Qualifications

• Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved physical therapy program.
• Current license from the state Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
• Ability to be Licensed within the State of Montana.

Responsibilities

• Carry out an individualized program of physical therapy including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patient's progress toward achieving functional goals.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with other health professionals and staff.
• Provide direct patient care, evaluate functional needs and outcomes, and adjust care plans for optimal outcomes.
• Design and implement a plan of care based on thorough assessment and family involvement when appropriate.
• Conduct therapy within defined standards of care and supervise support staff to achieve patient goals.
• Communicate effectively with other professionals to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Follow hospital and departmental policies, participate in quality improvement and infection control.
• Document evaluations, treatment goals and plans; keep documentation up to date.
• Engage in professional development and act as a community resource for physical therapy.
