Job summary

The PT evaluates residents, develops treatment plans, secures physician approval, and participates in discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Virginia Physical Therapy License or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates residents and develops treatment plans.
• Obtains approval for services from the referring physician.
• Treats residents according to the physician's treatment plan.
• Participates in discharge planning.
• Records evaluation, treatment, and charges.
• Supervises Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides.
• Screens residents for potential benefit from PT intervention.
