Job description

A PRN Therapist provides effective direct care to a variety of complex patients, contributing independently to an interdisciplinary approach to patient care across the continuum. They possess broad clinical knowledge, capable of caring for various patient populations within the health system. Responsibilities include completing administrative and clinical projects as assigned, focusing primarily on patient care, and helping negotiate the healthcare system to maximize quality care while minimizing costs. They also seek and provide feedback to improve clinical practices across the spectrum of care.

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech-language pathology evaluations according to professional standards and departmental policies.
  2. Demonstrate knowledge of intervention options and execute appropriate intervention programs.
  3. Participate in professional growth activities.
  4. Contribute to quality improvement and program development initiatives.

Position Compensation Range: $55.00 - $55.00 Hourly

Minimum Requirements:
For Physical Therapy:
  • Education: Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy
  • Experience: 1 year relevant experience
  • Licensure: Licensed in Physical Therapy in Virginia; BLS certification from AHA
For Occupational Therapy:
  • Education: Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Experience: 1 year relevant experience
  • Licensure: Licensed in Occupational Therapy in Virginia; BLS certification from AHA
For Speech Language Pathology:
  • Education: Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Experience: 1 year relevant experience
  • Certifications: Licensed Speech Language Pathologist in Virginia, ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence, BLS certification from AHA
Physical Demands:

Requires standing for prolonged periods, frequent bending/stooping/traveling, proficient communication, auditory and visual skills, attention to detail, ability to write legibly, and lift/push/pull 20-50 lbs. May be exposed to blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases.
