Job Summary

OrthoLA's physical therapy clinic is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for 10-12 weeks beginning around October. Open to discuss full-time or part-time hours during this period of time. OrthoLA's therapists treat post-operative and non-operative patients suffering from a variety of orthopedic conditions.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to determine patients' physical conditions, functional limitations, and treatment goals.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans based on patients' needs, goals, and medical history, utilizing evidence-based techniques and modalities.
  • Administer therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, dry needling, gait training, and pain management techniques.
  • Design and implement rehabilitation programs to support patients' recovery from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or trauma.
  • Provide patient education on their condition, treatment options, proper body mechanics, and home exercise programs to promote self-management and long-term wellness.
  • Collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care coordination.
  • Monitor and evaluate patients' progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document patient outcomes and progress notes accurately and timely.
  • Maintain compliance with legal and ethical standards, uphold patient confidentiality, and practice within the scope of practice and guidelines set by regulatory bodies.
  • Engage in continual professional development to stay updated on the latest research, advancements, and best practices in orthopedic physical therapy.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Knowledge and understanding of orthopedic conditions, injuries, and surgical procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, healthcare professionals, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Ability to create and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to adapt treatment plans based on patient progress.
  • Proficient documentation skills and the ability to maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • Experience in evaluating and treating musculoskeletal disorders, orthopedic injuries, and postoperative rehabilitation.
