Job summary

Theradynamics in Rye Brook, NY is seeking a Physical Therapist to focus on patient care with a predictable Monday–Friday schedule and strong clinical mentorship. The role supports professional growth and a collaborative team in a therapy-led rehabilitation setting.

The position emphasizes geriatric rehabilitation, autonomy in clinical decisions, and meaningful patient outcomes within a therapist-owned organization that values clinician judgment.

Qualifications

• DPT or master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active New York State Physical Therapist license or licensure eligibility.
• Passion for geriatric rehabilitation and functional outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized plans of care.
• Provide skilled physical therapy to patients recovering from surgery or medical conditions.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans for functional goals.
• Collaborate with PTAs, nursing staff, physicians, families and the interdisciplinary team.
• Promote mobility, strength, balance, safety and independence.
• Complete evaluations, plans, progress notes and required documentation.
• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to diverse geriatric populations.

What You’ll Do

As a Physical Therapist in our skilled nursing facility in Rye Brook, you’ll help patients recover, rebuild their independence, and achieve meaningful functional goals.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Evaluating patients and developing individualized plans of care
• Providing skilled physical therapy to patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological events, cardiac conditions, and general deconditioning
• Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans to support functional improvement
• Collaborating with Physical Therapist Assistants, nursing staff, physicians, families, and other interdisciplinary team members
• Promoting mobility, strength, balance, safety, and independence
• Completing evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and other required clinical documentation
• Delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to a diverse geriatric population

You’ll work with a collaborative team that respects your clinical expertise and recognizes the difference you make in patients’ lives.

What We’re Looking For

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or master’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Current New York State Physical Therapist license or eligibility for licensure
• Passion for geriatric rehabilitation and functional outcomes
• Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and teamwork skills
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
