Physical Therapist (PT) ‐ School

Start Date: ASAP | Available Shifts: 7 D | Pay Rate: $1646.53 ‐ $1804.18

AMN Healthcare is partnering with a Fairport, New York school district to hire a qualified Physical Therapist (PT) to work with children of all ages. The PT will conduct assessments, develop and implement effective treatment plans, and educate students to reduce pain, improve movement, and restore function.

Responsibilities

1. Partner with the district as a member of a collaborative team to help students restore and maintain their physical functions.
2. Screen and evaluate students referred to Physical Therapy treatment.
3. Collect data and report findings appropriately.
4. Diagnose movement dysfunction and create personalized treatment plans.
5. Provide evidence-based direct and consultative therapy services as required.
6. Maintain accurate documentation and billing per district and state standards.
7. Participate in a collaborative team and communicate clearly with teachers, district staff, and families regarding student treatment.

Required Qualifications

• Physical Therapist, School
• NY License

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program
• Pass the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)
• Active Physical Therapy (PT) license in New York
• Clear, articulate communication skills
• Ability to explain results to a varied audience
• Previous school experience is a plus
• Completion of a criminal record and background check
