Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation is seeking a Physical Therapist to join the St Catherine Hospital - Dodge City acute care team. The role offers Days/PRN shifts and a flexible schedule to support patient recovery in a busy med surg/outpatient unit.

As a PT you will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, educate families and nursing staff, and document care to regulatory standards while maintaining equipment and a safe work environment. New grads are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current and unrestricted Physical Therapy license in the state where services are rendered.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Accepting new grads

Responsibilities

• Evaluate a patient's condition and develop a treatment plan.
• Teach nursing staff and families follow-through programs.
• Document patient care according to regulatory and payer requirements.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe condition.
• Perform duties in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

What will you do in this role:

• Put your physical therapy skills to work where they're really needed - evaluate a patient's condition, develop a treatment plan, and help them get better day by day. You'll also instruct the nursing staff and the patient's families on follow-through programs that build on the progress they've made
• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements
• Instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition
• Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws
• Other duties as assigned
