Job summary

Kindred Hospital Northland in Kansas City, MO, seeks a Physical Therapist to join our team on a PRN Days schedule. You will evaluate patients, develop and adjust treatment plans, educate patients and caregivers, and collaborate with rehab staff to optimize recovery.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
• Previous rehab experience preferred.
• Current PT license.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and implement medically prescribed physical therapy treatment plans.
• Provide direct patient care to restore strength, mobility, and function.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs.
• Document treatment sessions and patient outcomes accurately.
• Collaborate with rehab teams and participate in discharge planning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you will do in this role:

Evaluates and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs. Provides educational information to patients in regard to injury prevention, ergonomics, restorative therapy and rehabilitation therapy. Supervises physical therapy assistants and aides in performing treatment. Additional responsibilities in this role include:

• Conduct physical therapy assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Provide direct patient care to restore strength, mobility, and function.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs.
• Document treatment sessions and patient outcomes accurately.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
• Experience: Previous experience in rehab setting preferred.
• License: Current PT license.
• Certifications: CPR certification required.
