Role Responsibilities:

• Assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of patients treated by Physical Therapist Assistants and Therapy Techs. May be assigned to orient staff and students and assume the duties of the supervisor in their absence.
• Assesses patients’ needs; initiates appropriate physical therapy interventions; collaborates with the patient care team to maintain professional standards and interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Observes and evaluates treatment effects; recommends changes to physicians as needed.
• Performs assessments and reassessments as per policy; maintains accurate and timely QI scoring. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics requiring medical rehabilitation services.
• Assesses patient pain interfering with rehabilitation; implements interventions to reduce pain; contacts physicians for further intervention if necessary.
• Formulates and updates patient-specific plans of care for physical therapy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Oklahoma
• Inpatient rehab experience preferred
• Current BLS/CPR Certification
