Job summary

Community Rehabilitation Hospital West is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to join our PRN team. The role emphasizes planning and delivering individualized rehabilitation programs to restore function and reduce pain, with supervision of PT aides as needed.

This position supports a patient-focused care model within a collaborative clinical environment. The candidate should hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, be licensed in the state, and ideally have inpatient rehab experience.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state where the hospital is located.
• Inpatient rehab experience preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support/CPR Card.

Responsibilities

• Establishes a plan of care appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient.
• Plans, prepares and carries out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning.
• Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the patient’s age and condition.
• Directs and supervises physical therapy assistants, students and other support personnel; assesses competence and communicates clearly.

A Physical Therapist who excels in this role:

• Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient according to his or her capabilities and desires.
• Plans, prepares and carries out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
• Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient.
• Directs and supervises physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel. Assesses competence, delegates specific tasks, and establishes channels of communication.

What we're looking for
