Requirements & Qualifications
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university
- Current unrestricted Illinois Physical Therapy license or eligibility for Illinois licensure
- Minimum 2 years of physical therapy clinic experience
- Orthopedic outpatient experience preferred
- Strong patient-care and clinical communication skills
- Comfortable reviewing performance reports and clinical/operational metrics
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Proficiency with basic technology and Google applications
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient environment
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop and move throughout the clinic during the workday
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 30 pounds
- CPR certification preferred
Must Haves
- Develop individualized plans of care and adjust treatment based on patient progress and functional goals
- Complete patient progress and discharge documentation within required 24-hour timelines
- Maintain consistent communication with referring physicians and other referral sources
- Monitor clinic performance metrics and adjust workflow to support productivity and efficiency goals
- Work alongside PTAs and therapy technicians to maintain quality, efficient patient care
- Help develop a collaborative PT/PTA/Tech team environment
- Participate in physician and community outreach activities that support referral relationships
- Maintain required clinical logs, checklists and compliance documentation
- Balance a full patient schedule with documentation, communication and clinic responsibilities
- Contribute to an exceptional patient experience throughout the entire rehabilitation process
Preferred Background & Skills
- Outpatient orthopedic physical therapy experience
- Experience working closely with orthopedic physicians or surgical teams
- Experience in a metrics-driven clinical environment
- Strong understanding of musculoskeletal injuries and rehabilitation
- Experience collaborating with PTAs and therapy technicians
- CPR certification
- Strong interest in professional development and evidence-based care
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative clinical team
- Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills
- Interest in future clinical leadership or growth opportunities
