General Summary of Position
MedStar Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our team at Therapy - Germantown. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professional competency as a general practitioner in physical therapy, utilize varied evaluation and treatment approaches, and possess excellent customer service and communication skills for interacting with patients of diverse ages and backgrounds.
The Physical Therapist provides a range of services including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-evaluation, discharge planning, and documentation across various settings. They participate in program planning, protocol development, and team goal achievement.

Conduct evaluations, review pertinent history, perform assessments, and document findings. Explain results and involve patients and families in goal setting.
Implement treatment protocols based on evaluations, consult with healthcare professionals as needed, and modify plans according to patient condition changes.
Complete discharge planning and follow-up, document care activities accurately and timely, and maintain a clear record of patient care.
Manage time effectively, meet productivity expectations, and provide flexible, empathetic care in a patient-centered environment.
Pursue ongoing professional development, serve as a clinical instructor, and mentor staff, students, and volunteers.
Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
Licensure in Maryland, DC, and/or Virginia as required.
American Heart Association BLS CPR certification.
This position offers a hiring range of $72,758 - $130,041.
