Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, organizing, developing, and implementing Physical Therapy services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Plan, develop, organize, evaluate, and implement the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the physical therapy program to help residents obtain/maintain their highest level of physical, mental, and social well-being.
  • Interpret and instruct in physical therapy policies and procedures to personnel, residents, family members, etc. as necessary.
  • Participate in discharge planning, development, and implementation of resident care plans, resident assessments (MDS), etc. as necessary.
  • Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants as outlined by the State Physical Therapy Practice Act.
  • Maintain treatment records, resident files, and progress notes as required and maintain an adequate liaison with families and residents.
Requirements
  • Current license and registration to practice as a Physical Therapist, PT in the State of NY.
  • Current malpractice insurance, license in good standing.
  • Dedicated to providing extraordinary compassionate care as a Physical Therapist, PT.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, committed, & passionate about quality care.
  • Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, & sometimes challenging residents.
  • Patience, a cheerful disposition, & willingness to assist any residents & co-workers.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, & organization skills.
  • Trusted to work independently & in a team environment.
  • Able to work well under pressure, flexible, & willing to work harmoniously with all staff.
  • Covid-19 vaccinations are encouraged but NOT MANDATED; we continue to offer COVID-19 vaccination based on eligibility guidance from CDC.
