Responsibilities as a Physical Therapist

• Promote Elara Caring’s philosophy, mission, and policies to ensure quality care.
• Provide direct patient care, evaluate needs and outcomes, and consult with specialists. Adjust care plans to optimize patient outcomes.
• Design and implement care plans based on thorough assessments, involving significant others when appropriate.
• Conduct therapy within standards of care.
• Lead support staff to achieve patient goals.
• Document evaluations, treatment goals, and plans, maintaining up-to-date records and prescriptions.
• Provide leadership and act as a resource to promote physical therapy in the community.
• Work in a physically demanding, high-stress environment, including handling, lifting, and transferring patients.
• Potentially work irregular hours, including call hours if applicable.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate of an APTA-approved physical therapy program.
• Current, unrestricted PT license for the state of employment.
• At least one year of experience in a healthcare facility.
• Willing and able to travel within the coverage area; must have a dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently, and lift 50-100 lbs.

You will report to the Branch Director, Clinical Manager, Clinical Supervisor, or designee.
