Job summary

The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to join our rehab team in Florida. You will assess referred patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress while educating patients and families in physical therapy methods.

You will supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure compliance with confidentiality and Residents' Rights.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy college or university.
• Must hold a valid Florida professional license and registration.
• Responsible for overseeing and supervising Physical Therapy Assistants.
• Experience with long-term/geriatric care preferred.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Experience with evaluations, weekly progress notes, recertification and discharge documentation.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide patient-centered treatment and care.
• Demonstrates exceptional patient service and clinical excellence.
• Reports on time and maintains professional standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.
• Complies with confidentiality, HIPPA and Residents' Rights.

Responsibilities

The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to join our growing team.

Physical Therapist (PT) Duties Include:

The Physical Therapist is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services which includes: providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation. Also, the Physical Therapist will establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patients capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician. As well, the Physical Therapist must set realistic and achievable goals for their patients, document and record the patients condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate physical therapy method.

Physical Therapist (PT) Requirements/Qualifications:

• Must have graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy college or university.
• Must have a valid Florida professional license and registration.
