Job summary

Nashville Center For Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist to help patients recuperating from injuries, illnesses, and surgery regain optimal function and manage pain. You will examine patients, develop plans, and promote movement to restore function and prevent disability.

Required credentials include a PT license, CPR (where applicable), and a degree from an accredited PT program. Experience in geriatric and neurological rehabilitation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Physical Therapist registration/state licensure.
• Current CPR certification, if required.
• Some facilities may require current state driver’s license.
• Experience in geriatric rehabilitation preferred.
• Experience in adult neurological, cardiac, and/or general rehabilitation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients and develop individualized PT plans.
• Implement treatment techniques to promote movement, reduce pain and restore function.
• Teach patients strategies to prevent disability and maintain long-term health benefits.

Licensed Physical Therapist needed for our patients recuperating from injuries, illnesses, and surgery to help them regain optimal function and manage pain. Our Physical therapists teach patients how to prevent or manage their condition so that they will achieve long-term health benefits. PTs examine each individual and develop a plan, using treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function and prevent disability.

Required Skills

1. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

• Knowledge of Physical Therapy evaluation and treatment techniques.
• Able to supervise and direct assistants and aides.
• Understanding the principles of physical modalities employed in Physical Therapy.
• Knowledge of use of prosthetic devices, ambulatory aides, assistive and resistive devices, and training.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to work with all types and levels of patients.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

3. License/Certification/Registration

• Current Physical Therapist Registration/State Licensure as required
• Current CPR certification, if required.
• Some facilities may require current state driver’s license.

4. Required Experience Education:

Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited Physical Therapy program.

Experience:

• Experience in geriatric rehabilitation preferred
