Job summary

Nashville Center For Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist to help patients recovering from injuries, illnesses, or surgery. You will assess patients, develop personalized plans, and guide modalities to reduce pain and restore function. Prior geriatric or neurology rehab experience is preferred.

Daily pay is offered as part of the benefits. Requirements include a PT degree (Bachelor/Master/Doctoral) and current state licensure with CPR certification if required;

• Understanding the principles of physical modalities employed in Physical Therapy.
• Knowledge of prosthetic devices, ambulatory aids, assistive/resistive devices, and training.

• Ability to work with all types and levels of patients.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized PT plans to promote movement, reduce pain and restore function.
• Examine patients and create treatment plans tailored to geriatrics, neurology, and cardiac rehab as applicable.

Licensed Physical Therapist needed for our patients recuperating from injuries, illnesses, and surgery to help them regain optimal function and manage pain. Our Physical therapists teach patients how to prevent or manage their condition so that they will achieve long-term health benefits. PTs examine each individual and develop a plan, using treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function and prevent disability.

Required Skills

1. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

• Knowledge of Physical Therapy evaluation and treatment techniques.
• Able to supervise and direct assistants and aides.
• Understanding the principles of physical modalities employed in Physical Therapy.
• Knowledge of use of prosthetic devices, ambulatory aides, assistive and resistive devices, and training.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to work with all types and levels of patients.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

3. License/Certification/Registration

• Current Physical Therapist Registration/State Licensure as required
• Current CPR certification, if required.
• Some facilities may require current state driver’s license.

4. Required Experience Education:

Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited Physical Therapy program.

Experience:

• Experience in geriatric rehabilitation preferred
• Experience in adult neurological, cardiac, and/or general rehabilitation is preferred.*
