Job summary

Shema Kolainu-Hear Our Voices in Brooklyn seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist to serve children ages 3-21 at our Brooklyn Center. You will plan and implement therapy sessions, assess progress, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers to align IEPs with each student’s learning needs.

Strong communication and organizational skills are essential as you maintain records, monitor progress, and participate in ongoing supervision, mentoring, and professional development

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist (NYS) in good standing.
• Ability to work with children aged 3–21.
• Strong communication and collaboration with families and school staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement physical therapy sessions based on each student’s needs and goals.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and related service providers to establish and implement IEPs.
• Conduct assessments and monitor student progress, adjusting strategies as needed.

Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to provide physical therapy to children ages 3-21 in our Brooklyn Center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing therapy sessions, assessing students to monitor progress, and suggesting carry over activities.

This role involves collaborating with teachers, parents, and other related service providers to develop and implement a therapy plan that align with each student’s unique learning needs. As a PT, you will have the opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of students with disabilities by fostering a supportive learning atmosphere that promotes independence, confidence, and a love of learning. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, as you will be required to track student progress, conduct assessments, and maintain up-to-date records in compliance with relevant regulations.
