Job summary

Aberjona Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Winchester, MA is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist (PT) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. Compensation ranges from $42–$58 per hour with a $7,500 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Professional license in Massachusetts (PT).

Responsibilities

  • Consult with residents to understand rehabilitation goals and needs.

Aberjona Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full-Time Physical Therapist (PT) to join our in-house rehabilitation team in Winchester, Massachusetts.

We are committed to providing high-quality, person-centered rehabilitation services that help our residents improve mobility, strength, function, independence, and overall quality of life. Our rehabilitation and interdisciplinary teams work collaboratively to develop individualized treatment plans based on each resident’s unique needs and goals.

Physical Therapist Responsibilities
  • Consult with residents to understand their individual needs, concerns, functional limitations, and rehabilitation goals.

  • Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and assess and interpret evaluation findings and test results.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based physical therapy techniques and interventions.

  • Create personalized rehabilitation programs designed to help residents achieve functional goals and maximize independence.

  • Provide skilled physical therapy treatments to improve mobility, strength, balance, coordination, range of motion, endurance, and overall function.

  • Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments in accordance with the established plan of care.

  • Monitor resident responses to treatment and modify treatment approaches as clinically appropriate.

  • Communicate resident progress, changes, and recommendations with the interdisciplinary team and other members of the rehabilitation department.

  • Provide education and guidance to residents, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans, therapeutic exercises, mobility, safety, and strategies to support independence.

  • Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote coordinated, high-quality resident care.

  • Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings as required.

  • Complete evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, discharge documentation, and other required clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Follow all facility policies, professional standards, and applicable state and federal regulations.

  • Attend required meetings, in-services, and other duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.

Physical Therapist Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF), rehabilitation center, long-term care, or healthcare setting is preferred.

  • New graduates are welcome to apply.

  • Current knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices, techniques, and interventions.

  • Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with residents with varying diagnoses, physical abilities, cognitive abilities, and functional needs.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with residents, families, caregivers, nursing staff, and members of the interdisciplinary team.

  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.

  • Familiarity with Net Health or other electronic medical record/documentation systems is preferred.

Physical Therapist Requirements
  • Current and active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Massachusetts.

  • License must be in good standing with the applicable state licensing board.

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.

  • Ability to provide safe, effective, and compassionate resident care.

  • Must meet all applicable employment and regulatory requirements.
