Home Health Physical Therapist (PT) - Full-time with Excellent Benefits

Presidential Home Health Care is currently seeking a Registered Physical Therapist in the South Shore of Massachusetts to Greater Boston area. Prior home care experience is preferred, but not required.

DUTIES

• Provide skilled Physical Therapy services on an intermittent basis to patients in their homes in accordance with physician orders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct initial and ongoing comprehensive assessments of patients' needs.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
• Assist physicians in evaluating patients using diagnostic and prognostic tests.
• Treat patients to relieve pain, restore or develop function, and maintain maximum performance through therapeutic exercises and interventions.
• Consult with and educate staff regarding treatment plans.
• Teach, supervise, and counsel patients and families on the physical therapy program.
• Instruct patients on the use of mobility aids and orthotic devices.
• Accurately document evaluations, treatments, and patient responses; prepare periodic assessments and summaries.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and paraprofessionals according to agency policy.
• Participate in discharge planning and complete discharge summaries.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program approved by the Council of Medical Education of the A.M.A. and the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Licensed or registered by the State of Massachusetts.
• Current CPR certification.

New graduates will undergo agency-sponsored training.

Salary: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday.
