Job Description

A Skilled Nursing facility in Queens, NY is seeking Physical Therapists (PT) to provide one-on-one therapeutic treatment and care to patients, promoting health and independence through comprehensive, patient-specific care plans.

• Evaluate and treat patients recovering from injury, disease, or surgery.
• Establish treatment plans and use methods such as exercises, stretching, hands-on therapy, and equipment to reduce pain and increase mobility.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to help patients achieve therapeutic goals.
• Track, document, and reevaluate treatments and progress, adjusting plans as needed.
• Recommend and fit assistive devices for self-care and mobility if necessary.
• Provide training to patients, caregivers, families, and health personnel on therapy procedures and device usage.
• Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, publications, networking, and professional societies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Strong understanding of patient care and medical terminology.
• Experience in acute care, orthopedics, and pediatrics.
• Knowledge of trigger point therapy and anatomy.
• Experience in hospital, outpatient, and home care settings.
