Position Summary:

The PT - Physical Therapist provides direct rehab care in physical therapy to patients upon physician referral, following all laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program (BSPT, MSPT, or DPT; 2003 or later must have MSPT or DPT)
• Current license in applicable State, maintained in good standing
• Preferred: one year of post-acute care experience
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; must remain current

Specific Job Requirements:

• Participate in community health projects as appropriate
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
• Coordinate with patients, families, and support staff to plan care
• Demonstrate good body mechanics
• Make independent decisions when necessary
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, and procedures in post-acute care
• Implement department programs and policies
• Perform all competency areas including patient rights and safety
• Maintain professional relationships and confidentiality
• Adhere to company policies and complete mandatory training
