General Purpose
To ensure the highest quality of care by providing therapy services to patients and supervising therapy assistants, in accordance with current standards and regulations.

Essential Job Functions

1. Provides physical therapy services according to a physician’s plan of care, including assessing and evaluating patient status, directing treatment, and instructing patients and caregivers.
2. Initiates therapy and collaborates with team members to develop and implement treatment plans.
3. Prepares clinical summaries and participates in discharge planning.
4. Maintains communication with the care team to ensure coordinated care.
5. Supervises therapy assistants and adheres to all policies and procedures.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited physical therapy program (bachelor’s or master’s).
• Valid license to practice in the state.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with computer use, including internet, email, and confidentiality protocols.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle; some travel may be required.
