Position Title: Physical Therapist - PRN - OU Medical Center

Job Description:

General Description:

Under minimal supervision, perform various therapeutic physical therapy treatments as directed by a physician.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Interpret physician orders, evaluate patients, and develop treatment plans to achieve short and long-term goals.
• Assess patient responses to treatment and modify plans accordingly.
• Participate in discharge planning; instruct patients on home programs.
• Document treatment results and patient responses in medical records.
• Supervise and assist students during clinical rotations, depending on experience.
• Maintain and clean department equipment.

General Responsibilities:

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Baccalaureate degree in Physical Therapy.
• Experience: None required.
• Licenses/Certifications/Registrations: Current license from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Physical Therapist or eligible to sit for the exam; must obtain license within six months of hire. Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association required upon hire.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of physical therapy principles, methods, techniques, and equipment; understanding of anatomy and physiology; ability to operate and adjust equipment; excellent communication skills; ability to build effective working relationships; computer literacy.
