We evaluate, plan, and implement Physical Therapy services for patients according to professional standards, Ohio law, and facility policies. Collaboration with patients, families, and the treatment team aims to maximize functional outcomes.

  • Obtain and interpret prescriptions/orders, assess and evaluate patients, and ensure pre-certification/authorization as needed. Knowledge of growth and development for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients is required.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans considering patient’s age, diagnosis, and goals, involving patients and families in goal setting.
  • Select and administer appropriate techniques and interventions, monitor responses, and modify plans accordingly. Treatment locations include hospital, clinic, and community settings.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the treatment team, both orally and in writing.
  • Assist in discharge planning, provide education, and recommend assistive equipment.
  • Participate in clinical education, community programs, and maintain competency through ongoing education.
  • Contribute to team goals, manage caseloads, and participate in process improvements.

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy (Doctorate preferred)

Licensure/Certifications: Active Ohio Physical Therapy license, CPR certification; specialty certifications preferred.
