Job summary

Valley Regional Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Physical Therapist PRN to join our patient-centered team in Brownsville, TX. You will assess patients, create personalized therapy plans, and work with physicians to drive meaningful recovery outcomes.

You will deliver evidence-based interventions, monitor progress, and document results while educating patients and families on home programs and safety. A collaborative, mentoring environment supports ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in Texas is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; DPT preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Able to work 2 shifts per 4 week rotation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient abilities and develop plans with physicians and care team.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to restore movement and reduce pain.
• Monitor progress and document outcomes accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and families on exercises and safe practices.
• Collaborate across disciplines for cohesive, patient-centered care.
• Mentor therapy assistants or students while upholding our values.
