Job summary

Selectis Health in Tulsa, OK seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to provide direct resident care across clinic, inpatient, outpatient, and outreach programs. You will plan and direct therapy programs, supervise PTAs, and educate residents and families in therapy techniques.

Responsibilities include administering modalities, evaluating progress, and promoting teamwork and compassionate care for elderly and disabled residents. Must hold a BS in Physical Therapy and current state license.

Job description

General Purpose:

Under indirect supervision, provides direct resident care to individuals with physical disabilities and/or functional limitations in clinic, in-patient, outpatient, and outreach programs. Plans therapy programs, directs and assists residents in exercises and use of wheelchairs and other devices, and evaluates resident progress. Educates residents and families in appropriate physical therapy methods. Leads the work of and serves as a resource for other therapists.

Therefore, the following list is not all inclusive:

Plans therapy program for neuromusculoskeletal residents, as prescribed by physician, including posture, gait, range of motion, muscle testing, sensory testing, specific extremity and spinal segmental motion, biomechanical analysis of functional activities, orthotic analysis (if trained), ergonomic analysis, and other relevant assessments.

Administers appropriate physical agents given physicians' protocols, residents' medical histories, and therapist's knowledge of indications and contra-indications, including electrotherapy, sound energy, heat/cold therapy, hydrotherapy, and JOBST compression.

Directs and aids resident in active and passive exercises, muscle reeducation, and gait and functional training, utilizing pulleys and weights, steps, and inclined surfaces.

Evaluates, records, and reports on residents' progress for review by other members of the rehabilitative team.

Supervises PTA(s) per state guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications:
