Job summary

MAPLE & ASH MIAMI LLC is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide direct resident care across clinic, inpatient, outpatient, and outreach settings. You will plan therapy programs, direct and assist residents in exercises and gait training, and evaluate progress for the rehabilitative team.

You will educate residents and families on therapy techniques, supervise PTA(s) per state guidelines, and help promote teamwork and hospitality in a nursing facility setting in Oklahoma.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Current license in state of practice.
• Certification in specialization areas if applicable.
• Organized and detailed in work performance.
• Good communication skills with patience.

Responsibilities

• Plans therapy program for neuromusculoskeletal residents, as prescribed by physician, including posture, gait, range of motion, muscle testing, sensory testing, specific extremity and spinal segmental motion, biomechanical analysis of functional activities, orthotic analysis (if trained), ergonomic analysis, and other relevant assessments.
• Administers appropriate physical agents given physicians' protocols, residents' medical histories, and therapist's knowledge of indications and contra-indications, including electrotherapy, sound energy, heat/cold therapy, hydrotherapy, and JOBST compression.
• Directs and aids resident in active and passive exercises, muscle reeducation, and gait and functional training, utilizing pulleys and weights, steps, and inclined surfaces.
• Evaluates, records, and reports on residents' progress for review by other members of the rehabilitative team.
• Supervises PTA(s) per state guidelines.

General Purpose:

Under indirect supervision, provides direct resident care to individuals with physical disabilities and/or functional limitations in clinic, in-patient, outpatient, and outreach programs. Plans therapy programs, directs and assists residents in exercises and use of wheelchairs and other devices, and evaluates resident progress. Educates residents and families in appropriate physical therapy methods. Leads the work of and serves as a resource for other therapists.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors of Science Degree in Physical Therapy
• Current license in state of practice.
• Certification, if applicable, and demonstrated competency in identified areas of specialization.
